The Talking Newspaper is a TOTALLY FREE SERVICE
for anyone registered Blind or partially Sighted
or who has less than N12 sight

Each week over 600 cassette tapes are sent to listeners all over Wirral. There are NO postal charges.
Tapes are also sent to ex-Wirral residents who have moved away, but who wish to keep in touch with local affairs.
The ‘A’ side of the cassette contains a digest of local news supplied in various editions of the Wirral News and The Wirral Globe.
The ‘B’ side of the cassette is in a magazine format containing interviews with local personalities, together with information and items of general interest.
The tapes arrive in a blue wallet with an address label inside a plastic window. After the listener has heard the tape, they return it to the wallet, reverse the address label and post the wallet back.
